Promote the efficient delivery of health care to Veterans by becoming the Deputy Chief Officer (DCO), Workforce Management and Consulting (WMC) Office.

This is a virtual position at the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) WMC, which oversees the entities and programs that recruit, reward, retain and support the high-quality health care professionals who work at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities across the country.

“The person in this position looks at the healthcare equipment and spaces our staff and patients use to forecast what’s needed in the months and years ahead,” said Darren Sherrard, associate director of Recruitment and Marketing at VA. “This information is then used to determine the resource requests that VHA submits to the White House budget office every year.”

The position provides a competitive salary and a wide array of benefits, including medical and dental insurance and generous leave policies. DCOs can participate in the federal retirement system. Interested candidates for DCO should apply by Feb. 27, 2019.
