Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Errol B. Crossman.
Errol joined the Army and went into the Army Air Corps on February 4th 1943. By September 1943, he had earned his Air Crew Member wings and qualified as an Aerial Gunner and Air Crew member.
He arrived in England in July 1944 assigned to 330th Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group as the radio Operator and Nose Gunner in B-24s.
He flew 30 missions over France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, and Denmark.
Errol returned to the United States and was reassigned to Lawton Army Airlfield, Laredo, Texas as a Gun Instructor Specialist.
He was honorably discharged on October 23, 1945. He returned to Connecticut where he still resides.
