Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Shannon Goad.
Shannon deployed to Afghanistan from 2006-2008 as a leader of a training team to build an Afghan National Civil Order Police unit. Then, from 2008-2010, Shannon was an assistant professor of military science at the University of South Carolina. He taught and mentored dozens of college ROTC cadets who became successful commissioned Army officers after graduation.
Shannon retired as a major from the Army in 2014. As a member of the Army Active-Guard Reserve, he served in multiple assignments over the years. Today, he is an independent financial adviser and small business consultant near Round Rock, Texas.
Thank you for your service, Shannon!
