#VeteranOfTheDay Navy Veteran Harry Stickney

Today’s #VeteranoftheDay is Harry Stickney.

Harry enlisted in the Navy in 1938 and retired after more than 20 years of service.

He served as part of the submarine service aboard U.S.S. Sturgeon for seven war patrols during WWII. He also served aboard U.S.S. Guavina for two war patrols during that conflict.

Harry passed away in 1974, at the age of 55. His son, Steven Stickney served in the Army from 1972 to 1974.

We thank Steven for his service, and honor Harry for his.
