On Wednesday, September 27th, the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC) will hold its National Women’s Health and Fitness Day, promoting health awareness and the importance of regular physical activity for women of all ages. Hospitals, health clubs, senior centers and other local organizations across the country will host activities, ranging from walking events and exercise demos to health screenings and educational workshops. It’s a great way to build awareness and highlight women’s health services and programs that are available in your community. Between 50,000 and 75,000 women are expected to join. If you’d like to participate or host your own local event, click here for more information.
