Kim Reid served in the Air Force as a knowledge operations manager from February 2006 to November 2012.
Starting in January 2009, Reid served in Afghanistan and Iraq for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She also served in Qatar in May 2009.
During her service, Reid earned an Air Force Achievement Medal, a Meritorious Unit Award with one oak leaf cluster, an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with device, an Air Force Good Conduct Award and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Reid currently lives in Dallas, Texas, and serves as a part of the Texas Veterans Commission. For the past five years, she has worked as a staff services officer for the North Texas District. In her role, Reid supports one interim Veterans employment services director, five district managers, one district supervisor, three coaches, four staff services officers and 37 field staff.
Reid is a three-time recipient of the Staff Services Officer of the Year Award, and she also earned an excellence award for providing excellent service to the Veteran community.
