VA Careers is heading to Chicago’s Congress on Healthcare Leadership March 4-7 to meet experienced healthcare leaders who are interested in serving in a variety of roles at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Attendees at the American College of Healthcare Executives-sponsored event are invited to meet Russ Peal, Associate Director of Healthcare Recruitment at VA, at the VA Booth to learn more about a VA career as a health executive.

“VA senior leaders impact Veterans’ healthcare at every level — through modernization nationally, improved access to care regionally and locally, and mentorship of the next generation of health professionals,” said Darren Sherrard, Associate Director of Recruitment Marketing at VA. “Russ is at the ACHE Congress to talk about all the opportunities to serve Veterans through leadership at VA.”

ACHE’s Congress is a gathering of 4,000 health executives who attend sessions on leadership best practices, learn how to solve industry challenges, and exchange information with experts and colleagues.

Health executives who stop by the VA Careers booth can learn more about open positions in leadership, review the benefits of a VA career and pick up information to share with family and friends.

“We encourage attendees interested in a VA healthcare leadership career path to visit VA’s Booth to share their resumes with Russ, learn about current opportunities and be alerted to future openings,” Sherrard said.

These and other positions are available in a number of locations and some offer relocation assistance. VA health executives and other senior leaders receive competitive pay, including market, performance and incentive pay based education and length of practice.
