Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran John Kenneth “Ken” Delmar.

Ken served in the Army after he graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He first served with the Eighth United States Army, which commands all Army forces in South Korea. Ken then served stateside with the 11th Special Forces and was honorably discharged as a captain. He later directed a variety show for troops in South Korea and Japan and formed a jazz band that competed in an international jazz festival in Europe.

Ken now runs Cheers Performances, his own music and entertainment business in the town of Media, Pennsylvania. His bands have played at local military parties and functions. Ken also does solo performances with his trumpet for Veterans in nursing homes.

Thank you for your service, Ken!
