Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Corps Veteran LaToya Stanislaus. LaToya served from July 2004 to July 2012 as an aviation electrician.

After leaving the service, LaToya used her Post-9/11 GI Bill to become a registered nurse. She attended Pitt Community College and served as an active member of the Student Veterans Association and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. While in nursing school, she worked as one of the school’s first nursing tutors. She graduated in 2015 with a degree in nursing.

Currently, LaToya remains an active volunteer within her community and works as an emergency room nurse at ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. LaToya creates a special bond with the hospital’s Veterans when they find themselves in need of emergency treatment and care.

Thank you for your service, LaToya!
