Arthur was in Vietnam from May 1966 to May 1967. He was stationed in the Central Highland region near Qui Nhon. Arthur received the Vietnam Service medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon and Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with a Palm Unit Citation.
