Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Navy Veteran Norris “Tee” Taylor. Norris served in the United States Navy from 1984 to 2014.
Norris deployed 16 times and participated in, among others, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and the Gulf War. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Award and multiple campaign and unit awards.
Norris was selected as Sailor of the Year for three different commands during his career. He also earned his bachelor and master’s degrees while on active duty.
Currently, Norris is retired from the military and living in California. He remembers one of his most unique moments in service as executing a medical evacuation off an attack submarine in the Indian Ocean.
Thank you for your service, Norris!
