Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Billie Kuchinski.

Billie joined the Navy in 1989 and attended recruit training in Orlando. She went on to serve as an Aviation Mechanist’s Mate for four years.

She then did a lateral conversion to the Yeoman rating and served in that capacity until her retirement in 2009.

Her tours and duty stations include San Diego, Jacksonville, Florida; Atlanta, Meridian, Mississippi; and Corpus Christi, Texas.

She has a number of decorations such as two Navy Commendation Medals, seven Navy Achievement Medals, and two Meritorious Unit Commendations.

Billie now serves as the Education Services Officer and Human Resource Assistant Military Supervisor at the Personnel Support Detachment onboard Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. In these roles she continues to serve Sailors by helping them with educational decisions as well as pointing them in the right direction as they process out of the military.

She is also active in her church and a member of Women Veterans of the Coastal Bend.

Thank you for your service, Billie!
