Today’s #VeteranoftheDay is Michelle McCollum.
Michelle joined the Army in 1996. She was assigned to the 567th Transportation Co. as an 88H-Cargo Specialist. She graduated from the Basic Airborne Course in Fort Benning, GA in 1998 before joining the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, NC, 82nd Soldier Support Battalion.
In 2004 she deployed to Doha, Qatar; in 2006 she deployed to Iraq in support of both Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
Her last assignment before she separated from the Army in 2008 was with the United States Army Office of Military Support in Washington, D.C.
Michelle currently works as an Administrative Manager for the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
