Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is James “Jimmy” Doucette.

Jimmy enlisted in the Air Force after high school in 1964. He enlisted as an air frame mechanic.

He deployed to Da Nang Air Base in Vietnam from 1965-1966 and served with the 366th Tactical Fighter Wing. He was injured in Vietnam, but was able to complete his tour of duty.

After serving in the war, he was stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base until being honorably discharged. Jimmy went on to serve his country as an Information Specialist with the Department of State.
