Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Edward S. Petros.
After joining the Army during World War II, Edward was drafted into the Office of Strategic Services. OSS was the predecessor of the modern Central Intelligence Agency.
When Edward finished serving in the war, he returned to the States to use his GI Bill and become a dealer in business real estate in Washington D.C..
Edward played a significant role in establishing the Women’s Memorial at the base of Arlington National Cemetery. He is also a founding member of the St. Jude Children’s Medical Research Hospital.
