Are you familiar with the benefits and services VA provides for women Veterans? Women are the fastest growing group within the Veteran population, and VA is working to meet their needs.

On March 22, VA partnered with Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to answer questions on Facebook about VA benefits and services for women Veterans. The chat addressed questions about gender-specific health care services and benefits available for women Veterans and their families. VA experts also answered questions submitted by Veterans and family members.

Check out some of the questions and answers from the chat below.

Many of the questions asked by Facebook users were specific to their circumstances and required individual follow-up. VA asked these users to contact the Women Veterans Call Center at 1-855-VA WOMEN (1-855-829-6636), which is staffed by knowledgeable VA employees who can provide information about benefits, eligibility and services specifically for women Veterans. The call center is free and confidential.
