VA Medical Centers, Clinics and Facilities

VA Mobile Facilities

VA has deployed five Mobile Vet Centers, three Mobile Medical Units, one Mobile Pharmacy and one Mobile Canteen to Houston and surrounding areas to offer medical care, pharmacy assistance, counseling services and benefits referral to Veterans and the community affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Dates: Monday, Sept. 11 – Sept. 30 (times and locations may adjust)
Hours: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  • NRG Arena, 1NRG Park (Main Entrance), Houston – Mobile Vet Center
  • American Legion Post 658, 14890 FM 2100, Crosby – Mobile Medical Unit and Mobile Vet Center
  • Texas City CBOC, 9300 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Suite 206, Texas City – Mobile Vet Center
  • Beaumont VA Outpatient Clinic, 3420 Plaza Circle Beaumont – Mobile Medical Unit, Vet Centers and Canteen

Pharmacy Disaster Relief Plan

During the storm, VA activated the Pharmacy Disaster Relief Plan in the impacted areas. As of Monday, Sept. 11, regular pharmacy access has resumed operations.

VA Health Resource Center

The VA Health Resource Center serves as the disaster response contact center for both Veterans and VA employees in the event of regional or national disasters. HRC assists Veterans in updating temporary or permanent addresses or phone numbers, supports the caller on the Veterans facility’s operational status, provides information on how to reschedule appointments or receive medical advice, and offers Veterans information on emergency prescription refills and additional emergency resources.

VA Benefits

VA’s Veterans Benefits Administration has developed mechanisms to help Veterans receive their benefit payments if their normal mail cannot be delivered.
