Want a more convenient way to pay your bills AND be eco-friendly?

If you have Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI), then you should know that VGLI Paperless Billing is now available.

So, how does it work?

Once enrolled in Paperless Billing you’ll stop receiving paper bills and start receiving email notifications the day your bill is ready. Simply log in to your VGLI Online Account and pay your premium with a credit card or a one-time deduction from your checking account. No checks to write, no stamps to buy. Remember, enrolling for Paperless Billing will only change how you receive your VGLI bills. You maintain complete control over when and how you pay your bills.

It’s easy to enroll if you have a VGLI Online Account.

Visit here to log into your account and then select “Paperless Billing” from the left-hand menu. Answer a few quick questions and you’re all set. After you enroll, be sure to add myvglibill@prudential.com to your contact list to ensure you receive all future VGLI bills.

Don’t have a VGLI Online Account?

You can get one by visiting here and then clicking “Register Now”. Once you have your VGLI Online Account you can enroll for Paperless Billing, update beneficiaries, pay your premiums, view coverage details, and more.

Not enrolled for VGLI?

If you are within 1 year and 120 days of your date of separation, then there’s still time to apply. Click here to apply online.

    Jason, you may apply for Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI) online at http://goo.gl/UbbRP. Simply click “Apply Online” at the home page. You have 1 year and 120 days from your date of separation to apply for VGLI.

    If you already have VGLI, you can make coverage updates by creating a VGLI Online Account. Visit http://goo.gl/UbbRP and click “Register Now” at the home page. With a VGLI Online Account you can choose your billing preferences, view coverage details, make premium payments, update personal information, change beneficiaries, and more.

    Once you have have a VGLI Online Account, you can return to the site and enter your User ID and Password to make updates anytime.

    Is the purchase of a life insurance policy available online as well or is it just the billing preferences which have changed? And is it possible to make alterations to the policy online, such as changes in address, beneficiary, etc.

    Mr. Balmer, my name is Kristan Hoffman and I am an Insurance Specialist at the VA Insurance Center. Thank you for responding to the post about VGLI Insurance. Based on the information you provided in your post, I was able to look up your records. When you separated, Service members could apply for VGLI within 1 year and 120 days after separation, if they had SGLI coverage in force. However, they could only retain their VGLI for five years after separation. Today, Veterans can maintain their VGLI as long as they desire. In your case, VA records do not show that you applied for VGLI after separation, and even if you had done so, your coverage would only have been able to be in effect for five years from separation.

    VA also offers insurance through the Service-Disabled Veterans Insurance Program. To obtain S-DVI, you must meet the following criteria:
    • VA granted service connection for any disability (even if evaluated at zero percent), AND
    • You applied within two years from the date VA notified you of that new service-connected disability, AND
    • You are in good health, except for any service-connected conditions.
    An increase in an existing service-connected disability or the granting of individual unemployability of a previous rated condition does not entitle a Veteran to S-DVI. Again, unfortunately VA records show that your last new rating was received more than two years ago. However, if you receive a rating for a new service-connected condition, you would be eligible to apply for this coverage.

    This is the first time I have heard about this insure by Prudent”s insurce ,having ask about this types of insurce ,i was inform that I did not meet the standard.Could your office conferm ed ,that I do have horiable discharce ,plus 100% disailty..
