Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Philip Paul Clark.

Philip graduated Buchholz High School in Florida in June 2008. In high school, he was a member of the weightlifting team, the football team, and Air Force JRROTC program.

He shipped off to boot camp right after high school. After completing infantry school, he was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force. He then deployed to Afghanistan in December 2009 as a rifleman and served as point man.

Philip was killed on May 18, 2010 by an improvised explosive device in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

We honor his service.
