I have tried for years to find a position with the VA seeking to assist veterans achieve the stability they seek after their service due to mental health problems that were caused or exacerbated after their discharge. The university I attended was not CACREP certified in 1988 and I have been blocked from providing valuable assistance as a therapist. The university I am referring to is the University of Memphis which achieved CACREP after I graduated. CACREP was not even a consideration for me during my education. I am a Vietnam Era Veteran and have much to offer.
